COMPETITION TIME

INCLUDES:

• air travel
• hotel (includes breakfast)
• ground transportation to/from airport in Mexico
• Team Canada Dance jacket or comparable
• IDO Acro Championship Entry Fee
• International License Fee (competition)

• Choreographer travel 

WHAT IT DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Choreography - *$250/routine per group.  This fee goes to the choreographer, not Team Canada Dance
• Any additional rehearsal/venue fees if applicable.
• Costume Fee - usually approx. $100-150/group.  This fee goes to the choreographer, not Team Canada Dance.
• Additional routines, if you choose, and are chosen by the choreographer
• Covid testing and related travel requirements if applicable
• Travel, health, and cancellation insurance.  
• Any Canadian travel for rehearsals and airport, etc.  Dancers may be able to 'bunk' with a local dancer on the team if they need lodging.
• Meals and leisure in Mexico, but there will be at least one mixer included
• Any additional (optional) Teamwear that is available from our webstore
• *ENTRY FEES AND WORKSHOPS for the IDO WORLD DANCE CHALLENGE CONVENTION/COMPETITION.  This is a separate event.  All IDO World Championship fees go to the International Dance Organization (IDO), whereas IDO Mexico is offering the IDO World Dance Challenge.

WHAT IT DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Covid testing and related travel requirements if applicable
• Travel, health, and cancellation insurance.  Most credit cards and many employers have better insurance than we can provide.  If you need suggestions, we can let you know what we use personally when we travel.
• Any Canadian travel expenses related to rehearsals and getting to the airport, etc.  The dancers may be able to 'bunk' with a local dancer to save on lodging during rehearsal weekends if they want.  If you are local and want to host a friend from the team, let us know and we can set it up, or you can volunteer to the family directly or on TeamSnap.
• Meals and leisure in Mexico is not included outside what is provided by the competition.  There will be one mixer that the dancers may attend for no charge but I believe parents may need to buy a ticket.
• Additional Teamwear that is available from the webstore

TEAM DEPOSIT

Once accepted to the team, we require a $200 deposit to secure your position.  You may e-transfer your deposit or wait until May to register through Amilia and make your first payment.

WAYS TO PAY

• CREDIT CARD via the Registration Portal.  There is a 3% convenience fee for credit card use.  Installments may be chosen.
• E-TRANSFER  travel fee with the PASSWORD:  Dance2022. No fees for this unless your bank charges you one 
• CHEQUE: post-dated cheques made out to TEAM CANADA DANCE and sent by registered mail/courier
• PAY PAL: a 3% service charge that you will need to add to the amount per transaction.  The benefit to this is that you may mix payment methods and pay when you can.

We prefer sponsors to pay the dancer directly as the money isn't going to Team Canada Dance.  If they would rather pay directly, have them contact us and we can make arrangements.  There is also an option for them to make a sponsor payment on Amilia or through our PayPal with the dancers name/team/province in the comment section.

• Dancers MUST travel with the team
• You cannot use ‘travel points’ for World Championships- sorry, we cannot arrange that with the airline
• Parents/guardians/siblings/friends may stay with the team if you are travelling with the team ONLY.  
• If parents want to travel ON THEIR OWN, they are responsible for their own flights, hotel and ground transportation. Please, DO NOT ask for help with those arrangements – We are not the travel agent.  We can only submit the dancers and those travelling WITH the team. You will not likely be able to book a room at the same hotel as the team as you will not be on the list that is sent to the organizer. These lists are submitted well in advance of travel and other countries competing are also trying to book rooms. You may be able to find a smaller hotel nearby.
• TEAM TRAVEL will depart 1-2 days prior to event start and return 1 day after.  
• EXTENDED STAY option will depart with the Team Travel prior to competition and return 1 week after competition.  If you select this option, you will be responsible for your own arrangements during that extra week.  You can go and see whatever you want!  It's a great option for a family holiday!  Contact us if this is your intention.
