Please arrive at least 30-45 mins before the start of the audition to check in and pay your fee in cash. If you registered, then we will have that information, however, you still need to check in and get an audition number.
All street styles will audition at the same age time frame.
Auditions are workshop style, meaning that you will be taught a combination then asked to perform it in a smaller group. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.
Please wear comfortable clothing to dance in and clean indoor suitable shoes
The west crew will not cast for the Breaking and Battle Championships this year. If interested, inquiree at contact@teamcanadadance.ca
VIDEO AUDITION
*VIDEO AUDITION for pre -approved only - with valid reason for missing in-person audition. A fee of $45 will apply.

- HIP HOP: Choreographed hip hop duo, small group, and formation (large group)
- HIP HOP: Freestyle soloists
- POPPING: Freestyle popping soloists and choreographed duo*
NOT this year...
- BATTLE: All-style freestyle soloists* and all-style freestyle battle crew* .**
- STREET DANCE SHOW - Choreographed solos, duos, groups, & formations with a story
*all-style battles include music where multiple street-styles are expected such as Hip Hop, Popping, Locking, House, Afro, etc*
**freestyle CREWS must be capable of learning choreography , as a routine showcasing multiple styles is required for prelim round

Team Fees will be offered based on your stay/nights and # people.

Fee will include:
- hotel (includes breakfast)
- IDO participation fees
- admission for parent/supporter (if applicable)
- Team Canada admin fees
- Choreographer/coach travel
- More
- May include fight/shuttles
Fees will not include:
- Flights - Team Canada will off

- Flights - Team Canada will offer both 'team' and individual flights
- Choreography/Coaching - This fee goes to the choreographers and rehearsal coaches must be paid in cash during choreography week.
- Extra Groups/Solo/Duo - If you are selected for a small group, there is another choreography charge determined by the choreographer and must be paid in cash during the first 'extra group' rehearsal.
- All routines are subject to additional costume charges which will be through the choreographer
- Travel, health, and cancellation insurance.
- Any local travel for rehearsals and Canadian airport, etc. Dancers may be able to 'bunk' with a local dancer on the team if they need lodging.
- Meals and leisure in Poland (except breakfast), but there will be at least one mixer included
FUNDRAISING AND SPONSORSHIP ENCOURAGED - ask us how
CHOREO AND REHEARSAL DATES
ALL INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED ON YOUR TEAM MEMBER PAGE and/or TEAM SNAP.
DANCERS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR *ALL* REHEARSAL DATES. THE TENTATIVE DATES ARE :
- June 26-30
- July 17-21
- August 27-30
- September 18-20
- October 2-4, 9-11
- Showcase
*** All above dates may not be used for each team, however, availability is important. The official rehearsal schedule will be sent out after team is formed. All rehearsals will be in the Greater Vancouver area (GVA). Contact us with any conflicts you may have.
