ACROBATIC DANCE TEAM

1. STAGGERED emails sent with results - this can take up to a couple of weeks.  The staggers are not necessarily based on results - it may be by age or other factors.  *You will also get a cost estimate to participate.
2. IF WE ACCEPT YOU onto the team - reply to the acceptance email with if YOU ARE accepting your position on the 2025 team or not.  YOU WILL HAVE A DATE TO REPLY BY in your acceptance email. 
3. IF YOU ACCEPT YOUR POSITION ON THE TEAM - you will be sent more information on how to register, the Team Handbook, link to TeamSnap and more.  If you decline, we will ask another dancer to take the position we reserved for you.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a team. We consider dancers from in-person/video auditions and Golden Tickets. We also have multiple choreographers involved in the decision-making. Unlike other teams, we are limited to how many we can take on a team, and we don't just select the best dancers—we also consider how the dancers fit with each other in the choreographer's vision.

When you receive an email, PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THE FACT THAT YOU RECEIVED AN EMAIL WITH ANYONE - YET.  

As mentioned, we are staggering the emails being sent.  The staggering helps us keep track of who is accepting their position and how many.  When receipt status of a results-email is shared with others, the ones who haven't received their results yet wonder where their results are, inaccurate theories made up, rumours shared, until people start to contacting us saying that someone else they know has received their results but they don't have theirs.  WE WILL ANNOUNCE WHEN ALL RESULTS HAVE BEEN SENT then you can share away!

Everyone will get an email with whether they have a spot on the 2025 team or not.  EVERYONE.  Again, the process takes time to send so please don't panic if you don't have an email yet.  There may be other  reasons why results are taking longer than you expected.  Also, please keep in mind that it is a very busy competition season for our dancers and choreographers.  Team Canada Dance staff also are busy with other teams and their regular 'day jobs'. EVERYONE WIL GET AN EMAIL.

Please check your junk/spam folder.  We send out a lot of results, and sometimes our emails can be mistaken for spam.  Also, sometimes there might be a human error in the email address from either your end or ours.  Pre-registering helps reduce human errors, but not completely.

WE WILL ANNOUNCE WHEN ALL RESULTS HAVE BEEN SENT.  If you haven't received an email by March 31, or by the time we made our announcement, please contact us.  

If you were checked into the in-person audition or received a video audition link (with a confirmation of receipt), then you will hear from us either way.  

After we made our announcement of all the results being sent, you can share that information with others.  Again, please do not share the info until after our announcement.
