Bremerhaven is excited to host this exciting World Hip Hop, Breakdance, and Electric Boogie Championships. This year, dancers from across the globe are planning on attending the beautiful seaside venue from October 15-19, 2019.

Travel Details

Our dancers will be departing 2 days before the competition and leaving the day after the end. Travel dates are approx. from October 13 - 20, 2019. We will get the hotel details after the rooming list is handed in to the organizers.

You are travelling on Air Canada Rouge, on a Boeing 767-300 ER (763).

There are no TVs on this flight. In flight entertainment consist of wireless streaming of movies and more, direct to your personal electronic device iPad or phone. If you do not have a device, you can RENT them on the plane.

Power ports are between the seats in economy, not at every seat. Be prepared to share (or better yet, bring a power bank of your own)- it's a long flight and you will want to stay charged!

PASSPORTS

** YOU MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT THAT DOES NOT EXPIRE WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF TRAVEL DATES.

I cannot stress this point enough. Numerous past participants have tried to travel with either a passport that will expire within the 6 months, or already expired! These dancers/parents were turned away at the airport. Don't let this happen to you! This is YOUR responsibility, not ours or the airline booking our tickets. We try to remind people to renew passports but we cannot do it for you. You will have to buy another airline ticket if you fail to get on with the rest of the team.

Prague is calling! My name is Barbora Guzdková and as organizer I'm very happy to see you at blog about WCH in Show dance. World Championship in show dance will be in Prague for second time, but first time under my direction. I’m very happy to have that oportunity to bring this event to Czech republic and have dancers from around the world in our country and our beautiful city. I remember when I won gold medal at WCH with our formation in 2010 and can't wait to see someone else being happy at competition what I’ll organize. As 100% IDO kid I promise, that I will do my best.

TRAVEL OPTIONS

Dancers MUST travel with the team
You cannot use ‘travel points’ for World Championships- sorry, we cannot arrange that with the airline
Parents/guardians/siblings/friends may travel WITH the team at a lower cost than dancer. See travel form for cost
If parents want to travel ON THEIR OWN, they are responsible for their own flights, hotel and ground transportation. Please, DO NOT ask me to help with those arrangements – I am not the travel agent. I can only submit the dancers and those travelling WITH the team. You will not likely be able to book a room at the same hotel as the team as you will not be on the list that is sent to the organizer. These lists are submitted well in advance of travel and other countries competing are also trying to book rooms. I am sure you will able to find a smaller hotel nearby.
TEAM TRAVEL will depart 2 days prior to competition and return 1 day after.
EXTENDED STAY option will depart with the Team Travel 2 days prior to competition and return 1 week after competition. If you select this option, you will be responsible for your own arrangements during that extra week. You can go and see whatever you want! It's a great option for a family holiday!

For the team that meets in Toronto, I am happy to personally fit the team from my home (12 minutes away) or come in to TDC with sizers to fit a group. For the team that meets in Calgary, I shipped a box of sizers ranging from size 36 - 42.5 care of team member Harrison Gietz. This shipment is scheduled to arrive in his possession on August 16. I’m hoping that interested members can arrange to try on the shoes before the deadline (if they are ordering custom). For those that wish to buy the black pairs, they can simply keep the ones they want. If I need to ship out duplicate sizes, narrow or wide options, I am happy to do so.
