2023 Team Canada Dance will be attending the IDO BALLET & JAZZ CHAMPIONSHIPS and/or the IDO MODERN/CONTEMPORARY CHAMPIONSHIPS in Europe as well as the IDO World Acrobatic Championship in Monterrey, Mexico and the IDO World Dance Challenge Competition and Workshop, Monterrey.

For this audition, the choreographers will run all the Ballet, Jazz, AND Contemporary auditions together. You do not need to prepare any solo for this, everyone will dance together in the room.

MALES WEAR BLACK DANCE APPROPRIATE CLOTHES
To pre-register, please use our registration system. You may pay online (credit card) or offline (e-transfer/cash). Non-pre-registered dancers may register in person a half an hour before the start of the audition. Pre-registration is preferred to save time and ensure accuracy.
In addition to registering in our registration system, we also asked the you please download an audition form (found below), fill it out and bring it with you to the audition. If you have a dance resume and headshot, please bring with you as well or send a digital copy.
You will be given an audition number at the audition.
VIDEO AUDITIONS
must register through the registration system and must be sent by midnight on August 5th for consideration.

Age categories historically for IDO World Championships have been as follows:

Mini Kids (7 & under)
Children (11 & under)
Junior (12-15)
Adult (16 & over)
Adult 2 (31 & over)
Senior (50 & over)
age is determined as of Dec 31 of the competition year
Age rule changes came into effect in the 2020 competition year.
New age categories will be:
SOLO/DUO/ *TRIO
Mini Kids (7 & under)
Children (12 & under)
Junior 1 (13-14)
Junior 2 (15-16)
Adult 1 (17 & over)
Adult 2 (31 & over)
Senior (50 & over)

*only the Tap Championships allow dancers to compete in TRIO's
