If you are looking for a stress free, well-organized dance competition with wonderful awards and a fun and encouraging dance competition for your dancers of all ages and levels, then we invite you to attend.
The Canadian National Dance Championships (CNDC) is committed to the dance industry, including dancers, teachers, and choreographers. Bonnie Dyer was the original founder and has many years of experience as a studio owner, director, teacher, and most importantly, as a dance parent. Bonnie also has the honour of being appointed the Canadian representative for the International Dance Organization (IDO). The current director for the last 10 years of CNDC is Alison Sharp-Dyer ensures that the competition experience is both well-organized and fun as well as backed by an experienced adjudication staff well versed in every discipline they are judging.
CDNC dance competitions are family friendly and offer dancers the opportunity to perform and learn in a structured and exciting atmosphere. We are backed by a dedicated and friendly staff and hardworking volunteers. We ensure that each participant has a positive experience and that all of their hard work is recognized and appreciated. Our adjudicators are never local and have a diverse multi-disciplined dance background. They are often studio owners, teachers or dance professionals that come from across Canada and the United States. Each regional averages $5,000 in cash scholarships.
CNDC will not be qualifying dancers straight to team as we have felt that it was the best interest for all to qualify at auditions, but will be hosting auditions during some of their regional competitions. You may use your solo or duo as an audition to be a part of the team at the Guelph competition only.
