Canadian National Dance Championships

CNDC

CDNC is the only dance competition in Canada that qualifies Canadian dancers to represent Canada at the prestigious World Championships.   If you would like to qualify your solo, duo or group to represent Canada on  Team Canada Dance and bypass auditions, you may qualify to do so at this competition!  Please let us know at registration so we can keep track of those qualifying.

If you are looking for a stress free, well-organized dance competition with wonderful awards and a fun and encouraging dance competition for your dancers of all ages and levels, then we invite you to attend.

The Canadian Dance Organization is committed to the dance industry, including dancers, teachers, and choreographers.   Bonnie Dyer, the original founder, has many years of experience as a studio owner, director, teacher, and most importantly, as a dance parent. Bonnie also has the honour of being appointed the Canadian representative for the International Dance Organization (IDO).

CDNC dance competitions are family friendly and offer dancers the opportunity to perform and learn in a structured and exciting atmosphere. We are backed by a dedicated and friendly staff and hardworking volunteers.  We ensure that each participant has a positive experience and that all of their hard work is recognized and appreciated. Our adjudicators are never local and have a diverse multi-disciplined dance background. They are often studio owners, teachers or dance professionals that come from across Canada and the United States.

Once again, CDNC is the only dance competition in Canada that qualifies Canadian dancers to represent Canada at the prestigious World Championships. The International Dance Organization (IDO), is a World Federation with a membership of over 90 Nations, representing more than 250,000 dancers, from six continents. Last year, the World Championships was broadcasted worldwide for the first time. The IDO is the "Olympics" of dance where dancers compete in elimination rounds and are awarded with one Gold, silver and bronze medal all while the flags are risen in the background and the winning National Anthem is played. For more information on this exciting World Championships, please visit the IDO website or the AFFILIATIONS link above.
