FYI

Team Canada Dance is ONE team, but we have 2 groups attending the Tap Championships  One from Ontario and the other Alberta.

Canada (and all other nations) are only allowed to bring a certain number of dancers to the championships.  This is a World Championships, it is not like other competitions and there are many competitors!  Countries are to bring their best 3 in each division:

Formations: 3 formations in each Children, Junior and Adult age divisions (8-24 dancers)

Group:  3 of each Children, Junior and Adult age divisions (4-7 dancers)

Trio/Duo:  3 of each in Children, Junior and Adult Divisions

Solo:  3 of each Children, Junior and Adult Divisions in each Female and Male Categories

*everyone will participate in the formations, however, the *extras (group, duo/trio, solo) will be divided between the 2 provinces.  The Director, and not the choreographer will have the final say on how they will be divided and who will get the positions.  It is often very difficult to choose the dancers for these and it is not personal.  You made it on the team, but spots are limited!
